Founded in 2008, Lyrical Asset Management is an equities manager headquartered in New York City. The firm manages U.S. Value, International Value, Global Value, and Impact strategies.

Lyrical employs a repeatable process to identify undervalued securities. The process builds generally upon the hallmarks of value, quality, and analyzability and is engineered to create the greatest likelihood of success.

For years, Lyrical had compared its active investment program to the leading value indices, to demonstrate relative outperformance. At the same time, Lyrical had highlighted and opined on numerous and critical deficiencies in those indices. In 2021, Lyrical resolved to launch its own passive index and to offer an ETF that it adjudges superior and appropriate for true value investing. Lyrical engaged FLX Distribution to promote and advance this ETF, the U.S. Value ETF, ticker USVT.
